Vehicle Protection Structures

The first time time I went to our factory in West Point, Georgia it made me nuts when I saw all these lovely vehicles, all brand new, shiny, sat in the Georgia sun. And I thought, it’s not like they’re going to be damaged necessarily, but that’s UV rays that are going to be causing an issue. I talked to the management of the factory. They said, you know, the cars aren’t there that long, so we feel okay about it. But it still always kind of bothered me. Now when I go there, it’s nice and cool underneath all these covers. The vehicles are protected not only from hail but also from any kind of inclement weather whatsoever and more importantly that hot Georgia sun.

We had a large loss in July 2025. Partnering with VPS and IPOWER Alliance allows us to address this challenge while also generating our own clean energy. It’s a win-win for our dealership, our customers, and our community.

Adding these canopies was one of our smartest moves. Our vehicles are protected, our officers are more comfortable, and our fleet investment goes further.

We became the first dealership where we used VPS canopies and solar panels connected to one another. We identified that if we could take the solar panel and put it on the edge of the canopy it would actually extend the throw and give us more room to protect our vehicles. We have the ability to generate 375,000 kilowatt hours of solar power every single year from 720 bi-facial solar panels, meaning that they produce energy from not only top but the reflection off of the canopy on the bottom. They’re attached to canopies that cover 53,000 square feet which gives us the ability to protect 335 vehicles underneath canopy.
